What are the key points when designing a small scale DCS using serial communictaion devices that may include Honeywell UDC 3000 controllers, AMOT PLCs, OPTOMUX decives. the DCS capabilities includ a GUI for plant configuration and control. Focus is placed on the implmentation of the HMI and specification of clear procsedures for startup and shutdown. Where to start??
