Spec for Serial Modbus, ASCII Read and Write

I need to find the Modbus Protocol Spec for the Modicon 984 to be able to implement code in a custom controller for Modbus ASCII Reads and Writes. I want to be able to use the Siemens TP170A Touch Panel, RS-232 Serial Modbus.

Where do I get the Spec!?

You need to find PI-MBUS-300 (in PDF format)
Use Google - or - can be found on Telemecanique.com and Modicon.com web sites - among others.
