I need to find an Ex i computing device, the device needs to be standalone (not a Ex i terminal attached to a computer in a safe area). The solution could be a fixed panel device or a handheld or mobile device, it does not matter. The device can have either a LCD text display or a VGA graphical display. It should support either a touchscreen or have a integrated keypad / keyboard.

Preferably the unit would run WinCE, but any Windows O/S would be OK. In fact I would consider any O/S.

Check out the Symbol PTC 2234 or the PDC 7200 devices. Intermec also manufactures intrinsically safe computing devices, but they are not Windows.
