May I ask you to advise me about the standards which are referenced for Control centers or control cabinets? For example: for building control centers, the points which have to be considered for, painting.

Best regards,

ISA publishes eight standards on Control Centers:

ISA Standards:
ISA-RP60.1-1990 Control Center Facilities
ISA-RP60.2-1995 Control Center Design Guide and Terminology
ISA-RP60.3-1985 Human Engineering for Control Centers
ISA-RP60.4-1990 Documentation for Control Centers
ISA-RP60.6-1984 Nameplates, Labels, and Tags for Control Centers
ISA-RP60.8-1978 Electrical Guide for Control Centers
ISA-RP60.9-1981 Piping Guide for Control Centers
ISA-RP60.11-1991 Crating, Shipping, and Handling for Control Centers

The word paint comes up in a search of numbers 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 11
but not in
- 2, Design Guide & Terminology
- 9, Piping Guide

www.isa.org
search standards page for "control center" or "control centers"

Thank you for your reply.

Refer to the improvement in Automation and the new cabinets which are built compared to the old ones, I supposed that the standards should have been revised, for example the thickness of the plate in a cabinet which is used for "DCS" is not similar to the cabinet which was used for conventional systems.

If I am wrong, please correct me; is there any reference that vendors are referred for their new products? For example the difference in the color of the cabinets, the reference of the "Rital" is different with one is referred in BS standard.
I do appreciate your reply.
