STG Governor Control Valve CV#2 suddenly closed to 0% during normal operation and load at 90%. During CV-2 closed CV-3 has started increasing from 20% to 60% and CV-4 increasing from 0 to 20%


During the CV#2 valve repair

1. Is it possible to keep the unit running with three governing control Valve till next opportunity shutdown? What are risks if any?
2. Is there any disturb will lead to unit during CV-2 normalize and come in-service? What are precautions taken too avoid unit disturbing
3. If possible then please clarify & explain in detail, how can we achieve that.

The thing is WHY CV2 "suddenly closed to 0%"....

Any process/diagnostics alarms occured during this event
Can you provide a Schematic/drawing on the mentionned STG

What kind of STG type is installed ...back pressure /condensing any LP steam/process bleed/exctration

We need to know more on this Unit to advise you ...

Can we know controls sytems that is installed ..
Did you try to troubleshoot by using Controlssystems tools /trends..it will be good to have a view on what is goin on by taking some trends and see if at least logic/application code is ok..
