Stepper indexing chip

I would like to know if anyone knows of companies that offer stepper controller chips (indexers) for outputting pulse/direction signals for open or closed loop control of steppers/servo's.

I have done a project on FPGA and will implement on an ASIC. This is because no one can find a single chip in the industry that can do all these. You had better design it yourself.

Alternately, you can use DSP in Analog device (www.analog.com <http://www.analog.com> ) or use a DDS chip (AD7831 from analog device), plus some FPGA or Zenic (ZEN2041F) counter for reading index from encoders.

Actually I have designed one myself. I am trying to find out who my competition is :)
I am considering selling the chip on the market as a component. The design is based on a Ti DSP that has a built in encoder interface along with plenty of I/O.
