TCP/IP to serial Modbus Port replication

To Whom It May Concern,

I am looking for an inexpensive method for adding a port to a ProSoft MVI46-MCM module. The module gives me two serial ports and I need a third which I would prefer if it were TCP/IP. I was hoping some of you might know of a device that would convert one of the serial ports to TCP/IP that could then be polled by two masters. Any help along these lines would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

You can find Modbus ethernet to Modbus serial converters by DIGI, Comtrol, Lantronix, and Advantech as well. All of them perform well.

Check out http://www.prolinxgateways.com and look for their modbus gateway product. Might not be the cheapest solution, but we use them all the time, and they are a fit and forget solution. They do a unit that has 4 serial ports and one ethernet port - all configurable as modbus master or slave. I take it you have no room in the SLC rack for another MVI46 card?
