Was there ever, or is there such a thing as being able to program old Telemechanique PLC's with a hand help PDA?

I would not call it a PDa, but there was a hand help programming terminal called a TSXT317. Plug-in cable. The terminal couldprogram PL7-1 Boolean for tsx1710 / 20 serie, or PL7-2 graphical language for tsx1720. You may find a manual on www.telemecanique.com.

TSX17 is old hat today. You could go for Twido controller, and connect to PDA / laptop using bluetooth.
