I have Temperature transmitter with analog 4-20 mA connected with Paperless recorder. I have several locations having one Tx at each location. I want to access each of this location over internet. What I want to log on to internet and see live data of any particular location. These remote locations have access to GPRS/CDMA/PSTN network so any suitable modem may be used for telemetry.

I will welcome suggestion or product details to my e.mail [email protected]

</b>Dear Paul,

I am just wondering if I can connect my ADAM analog I/O unit to GPRS modem via RS485 Modbus?

please my questions:

1) Do I need web server on GPRS modem or anywhere else

2) What brand & model do you recommend for GPRS modem. (with RS485 Modbus that can communicate with Analog IO)

Thanks - Umit

Hi,

I think some of the eWON devices can be useful for you.

They have several models able to work as a GSM GPRS Modem, Router, Historical logging, Analog/Digital Inputs, web server, HMI, FTP server/client, Modbus Gateway, etc, etc.

It's a great solution if you are able to pay $1100-1500 depending on the eWON unit and your needs.
