I want to measure temperature inside RF Heater. The maximum temperature to be measured is 2200 degrees with accuracy of 1 degree (if possible). Can anybody suggest appropriate sensor

It is very hard requirements... for non-contact means it is rather impossible...

"two colors" pirometer MR1S "Marathon" looks like _good_ one... but the uncertainity is 0,75%(+-30 degrees C for 3000 degrees diapason)...
"recurrence"(instability) - 0.3% (~10 degrees).. resolution
of 1 degree - "http://www.raytek.com":http://www.raytek.com

...also have a look at "http://www.mikroninst.com":http://www.mikroninst.com

So, look at contact sensors.. thermocouples... etc.

if i recall right there is no metal that will be stable and reproducible at 2200degC. it is probably time to switch to other methods such
as the infrared.

Hi,

We had a similar issue and have were successful in using a sheathed T/c and using an instrument with high CMRR and noise filtering, as there would be high RF noise.

However, guaranteeing the accuracy of 1 degree is questionable.

Problem with IRs is the emissitvity settings which vary with temp.

Good Luck,
