Testing Boiler Feedwater Pumps

In a boiler feedwater system, there are three steam turbine driven pumps and one electric motor driven pumps. Only one steam driven pump runs at a time and the motor driven pump acts as back up. You would like to test run each one of the pumps including the motor driven. The test sequence is to put motor driven pump first before taking steam driven pump in service. How would you manipulate the pump controls in terms of mode of operation (manual or auto), Process Variable (PV), Set Point (SP), and CO (command output) to have fairly constant feedwater pressure, say 240 psig during the entire test?
