Hi Tom
Thanks for the article on our project in Motion Control. I don't know how I missed it before, but I read it today. In answer to the Motion Control question,
I am very interested in Linux, especially realtime Linux for motion control and have mentioned on the list that I have a back-burner project to use the work that NIST did for the EMC project to refurbish an old NC mill to Linux control. These applications will naturally gravitate to Linux for speed, cost, and
reliability. There is also a wealth of OSS that will eventually be combined to make Linux
machine control attractive. We might even steal a march on OMAC at the speed they're going :^).
