I am currently in 4th year of my electrical engineering course and I am doing my final year project on a thermoelectric cooling chamber. I am stumped as to how I am going to control the peltier cooler I am using and hope someone can help me out.
The peltier is controlled by a PLC output which has various inputs. I was thinking that an output of 0-10v of the the PLC will go to some sort of switching device that will vary the switching speed of a mosfet in a buck converter which I must also design which will vary the voltage to the peltier as this will vary the cooling effect of the peltier.
I could be going down the wrong track completely so I hope someone can help me out.
