TRIAC control

Hi,

Is there any PLCs that can control TRIAC?
What kind of output do we need to control a TRIAC?

Note: TRIAC is a very convenient switch for AC circuits, allowing the control of very large power flows with milliampere-scale control currents.

HI
You can use current output. I am sure it will make costly demage in module when short or hi current demage in triac. IT IS NOT REALLY ALLOWED IF YOUR MODULE IS NOT DESIGN FOR SCR OR TRIAC !!!!

The modern Triac modules (see Crydom for example) have voltage input with range 3...24VDC, i.e. you may use standard PLC digital output. Pay attention that such modules have two basic functions - random or zero crossing.
