We have one Triconex System Analogue card which had failed momentarily, causing our plant to Shutdown. Can anyone advise me about what could be the reasons for card failure, and what counter measure required to detect fault like these?

You have not provided enough details.

1) Is it Analog Input or Output Module

2) Module Model No?

3) Is their reduntant module available or only single.

4) Run tricon diagnostic window and try to collect the SOE for these module.It will give you whether it is hardware failure or due to field fault.
