I'm having some problems with a machine i just bought. It has a sysmac c40k omron. My problem is that it is not sending out a voltage to the directional valves. When i push a buttom, the c40k processes it (i can tell cause the light on it lights on correspondingly). But it doesn't send out a voltage. Out of about 9 valves, only one works. Is the c40k omron pac bad, or does it need to be programmed? I'm new to this stuff.

The CxxK family is an old one, around 20 years since it was first launched!, being antique does not mean is a bad plc. It might be the plc input or output is broken or the plc program is broken. Did you check the proper functioning of the valves? You may contact the machine builder for support or your OMRON local representative.

Hi,
I had many problems with the Relay Output modules on these PLCs. Either replace the module, or the individual relays, carefully! The program itself, like most plc programs will not run if it is corrupt, so don't play with it.
