The Telemecanique PLC system of an older drum shear line consists of a central rack (CPU TSX 67/420), Panel XBTV B8140TA, monitor, several (4) remote I/O racks, and Uni-Telway-link,CAN BUS communication. The Ram program is lost. But we have the Application Program as a paper version.
Is it possible, before writing and transferring the code to this old CPU (Type: TSX 67/420), to replace it or eventually the whole CPU Rack, with a newer one, inclusive all rack components if necessary, and let (as first step), the other (dummy?) I/O Racks communicate with the newer CPU over the existing Bus and then write and transfer the paper version of the application program?
In this way - if it is possible - it doesn't need to use the old OS2 based programming version
of Telemecanique to transfer the code...
