Hi,

A flow meter is required to send the flow data to two separate systems via two separate 4-20mA communication. Is this type of flow meter available having two separate 4-20mA communication option in a single instrument?

Any other option to split 4-20mA for two different control systems?

If the analog inputs on at least one of the systems is isolated there is no need for a splitter.

There are a bunch of low cost isolator modules that will do the retransmission for you as well.

 

The wise person selects the right flow meter for the application and then handles the issue of multiple identical signals separately.

Multiple 4-20S which can easily be done with a signal splitter or multiplier.

 

maybe you can connect the flow meter 4~20mA to some panel meters, then the panel meter output 2 4~20mA?

 

We are using several different types of flow meters and most have the option of multiple outputs. Sometimes it comes in the form of an optional output card that can be field installed and programmed to reflect whatever parameter is desired.

In some cases, the optional outputs must be factory ordered.

First it would be interesting to give us the type of flow meter (for example, if you are using a differential pressure or an ultrasonic etc)
As the majority of flowmeters is differential pressure in O&G or electromagnetic in water (for example), please confirm technology of your flowmeter.

A lot of people here will be able to give you vendors references.

After an other secondary question with less importance: the number of cables you need or if you plan to use a multipair cable , the size of your cable gland, the type of the loop (active or passive).
