which type of pressure gauge (bourdon or diaphragm) should i use to measure sulfuric acid pressure on the discharge of pump? will it cause any harm to bourdon type if used?
You need a diaphragm seal, which separates the gauge internals from the process medium.
Installing a seal requires a vacuum pump to pull a vacuum before filling the gauge/seal volume with fill fluid. One typically buys a gauge and seal assembly from a vendor, because a shop needs the tools and skills to do it properly. All the major pressure gauge manufacturers and their distribution vendors sell seals and assembly services.
Sulphuric acid is classified as a corrosive liquid and extreme care is required to be taken while dealing with this chemical. For pressure measurement , we need to use diaphragm sealed pressure gauge with an isolation valve,so the gauge can be removed safely during operation for carrying out any kind of maintenance.
