Ungrounded UPS System

In an ungrounded UPS system, should I worry about the Earth to Neutral potential for the correct functionality of equipments like PC, Modems, RS232 to 485 converters etc?

Safety wise, I understand that a earth pin will be important.. My question is purely from functionality point of view.
