I have a need to get Profibus capability into an industrial PC I am quoting. I can get a PCI card, a PC/104 card and a PCMCIA card that will
allow me to interface to Profibus but life would be a lot easier if someone had a USB unit.

Long ago post, but I did find a product on "Profibus.org":http://www.Profibus.org while looking for something else:

make a USB/Profibus interface. I think the problem with USB interface is that the Profibus can run very high datarates that the USB couldn't keep up with. Worth looking at !

Now, I wish their CAN adapter emulated an A-B serial DeviceNet interface....
