Above is a part of the HMI graphic for SGT700, Air intake system.It is obvious the Dp across individual air filters is there
as a reflection of the health of the filter(i.e. Choking/resistance to air flow).

But what intrigues me is the Dp Across the two filter sets (middle one 0.06Pa), is there really a need to monitor this?

 

There may be several reasons - but to me the most obvious is to check the health and integrity of the other 2 DP monitors.

The filters would be constantly working in airborne fine dust, and although rare, monitor pipework can get clogged up when a seal has failed. This did happen once at a plaster factory where 'fines' got through.
