Using frrjiftest.vbp w/ Fanuc R-J3

I would like to input a position offset into the R-J3 controller. The robot came with the frrjiftest.vbp VB6 demo CD. However, I can't get the demo to connect to the robot. The ethernet connection pings both ways. What do I have to set up on the robot control, system variables, host comm, etc.?
