Using RSView to replicate IMAGEM functionality

I've just upgraded a GEM80/400 to a GEM80/500 and have replaced the IMAGEM functionality with RSView32. An operator keyboard on a serial interface was used to navigate the IMAGEM screens. Key presses were decoded within the PLC to faciliate such process features as alarm acknowledgement, pump/motor duty/standby selection, etc. depending on the screen that has focus. Unfortunately major PLC modifications are required to replicate this functionality using RSView. An ideal solution would be to capture key press values from the PC keyboard and pass these to RSView at runtime. Does anyone know of a way to do this? Thanks.
