Hi all,

I'm looking for the USS protocol description, used by Siemens for Micromaster drive communication, because I must write a program for read and write data on this device.

Where can I find this document on the net?

Please visit "www4.ad.siemens.de":www4.ad.siemens.de and find the "Standard Drives Application Handbook" (Entry id# 5824404). In the Appendix of this handbook, you will find the description of USS protocol.

 

Look for the 10.4 paragraph of the "Siemens Standard Drives Application Handbook" by Martin Brown. You can find this handbook in pdf format
at the Siemens web site "www.ad.siemens.de":www.ad.siemens.de (look for manuals and similar things).

Try Siemens automation web site. I found there sample USS program for S7-214.
Unfortunately I don't have address.

I received a document with example programs for microwin S7-200. If u will use an S7-200 PLc, please contact me by mail and I will send u
the examples. U need at least a 224 CPU by the way. The intialisationblok, controlblok and read-writePM are made in the project.
