I'm currently working on citect SCADA v5.1

i have created a variable tag with Device= memory; address= r85 data type =real.

i want to perform some calculations whose final value should be store in this variable tag. Once it is store I'll use it for totalizer. my problem is - i dont know where to perform the calculation so that it's value will be stored in the variable tag?

I am using IEC870P Protocol. I want to display double point information in citect scada GUI.

Please give me solution. I have tried different combination of variable tags but still same problem. I am getting correct answer in kernel. But cant display it in GUI.

I don't understand how scada will understand it is single point or double point information....
