After loading the new version of Vijeo Designer 5.0 and connecting to a new Magelis XBTGT4340 and configuring the devices. I began to build my first project in the new version. However much to chagrin as I placed a switch on the panel and released the mouse, viola!! the program advises me that it encountered a problem and must shut down. Well I say to myself. self lets try that again. ok you guessed it the same thing.

So on the phone I go hello hello to tech support. Yes they say we have received several calls today regarding this issue. The story appears that the new version and Microsoft service pack 3 have some issues. The work around (or so I am told) is to revert to ver. 4.7, I will find out shortly. Does anyone else have or had the same problem nad how did you get around it?

Wow my hats off to the great support at Square D. After several disscussions with them the problem was identified and the solution (via a software patch) was e-mailed to me and the program is now up and running. If anyone has had this problem contact me and I will help them get to the right source for the solution. Thanks Again to the great tech support from Square D.
