What happened to the Industrial Ethernet Association (IEA)?

A

Automation Linse

In a nut-shell, this was a domain registered by Perry Sink (of little ISA Enet book fame) back before all the good names were taken. When he "left" his employer of that era, the site remained the employer's property. It's been idle a long time and I assume what you see is a "domain park". Names must resolve to valid web sites or you can lose them easily. Such a park is cheap ($10 a year?) as opposed to a fully hosted web site.

The IEA also was tied to this yahoo group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/industrialethernet/

I'm not sure they ever planned to create protocols - other than gather "best practise" etc.

best regards
