I am in need of a book titled ,"AUTOMATING WITH STEP 7 IN LAD AND FBD, FOR SIEMENS PROGRAMMABLE CONTROLLERS TYPE S7 300/400"

I have contacted the publisher several times in the last two years and every time I have received a reply that it is out of print.

I guess the sales from it were not good and therefore the publisher may have stopped printing it.

Berger has a whole series of books "AUTOMATING WITH STEP 7... of various flavors.

http://www.Amazon.com lists numerous Lad & FB copies, but it isn't clear whether their listing is the same ISBN or same edition. Can you use a more recent edition?

The publisher can only tell you that his stock of that particular edition is depleted (out of print), with no plans to re-issue a book that appears to be continually updated. That doesn't say that there aren't copies out there in the distribution channel awaiting your purchase.

There are always book vendors out there with unsold stock. Or used books.

Sometimes you have to shop hard for books like you do obsolete DCS parts.
