As a quick way of launching WinCC, please tell me what I should do as a regular way of linking various PLC's inputs and outputs to WinCC tags?

Any corresponding site with useful examples available?

select Manuals and search for WinCC; amongst the many choices you will find a "Getting started" that will guide you through all basic steps for setting up a WinCC project: tags setup, channels (communication with PLCs), alarms, trends, graphics.

There are 2 types of tags , internal and external
Internal tags are generated in response to application based wincc screens or objects .

External Tags are generated for use with a particular PLC or many PLC,s

A good site maybe siemens

 

Go to tag management. make a new driver and select your communication protocol. then add a new connection which refer to your PLC.
by selecting this connection you can define new tags. However, each kind of PLCs has its specified way of tag addresing you must refer to PLC and corresponinfg documents.
