Windows CE.Net HMI Package

Hi all, we are currently developing a new product for Oil & Gas Compressor Control that will be based on a Windows CE.Net OS Open Controller with IsaGraf as a PC Control Engine.

We are needing a fairly cheap HMI package that will run directly on the Windows CE.Net OS, runtime only, development will be on Windows package. The package needs to support datalogging and trending as well as alarm and event management.

Have currently checked out the following with mixed results.

- Indusoft.
- InstantHMI.
- Labview with Pocket PC Add On Module.
- Iconics, though they have not sent me a disk I can try yet, just looked at features and price.

I would love to get any feedback from people that have used these solutions and also any other packages that you think would suit our needs.

Thanks.

or you could go whole hog and do the whole thing, device and all by contacting BSquare (http://www.bsquare.com)...
but I think you better beat Iconics into giving you that demo. I've used NI, personally, and like it...and their support is invaluable. I've also built a standard Windows solution with Iconics...never used their CE solution...
Never used the other two, but don't count them out.

I am assuming you are talking about a fairly large number of licenses...how about asking them to produce a demo for you so you can see how the software is built, how it works, and if it is easy to work with...you may have to deal with an integrator but that isn't a bad thing, necessarily.

By far the most powerful, cost effective CE.Net product is Indusoft Web Studio. We market a group of products with Indusoft integrated with ISaGRAF. We did the integration and the two work seemlessly together. A very powerful, scalable HMI/control/SCADA package.

Contact me to discuss further if interested.
