wireless cobra LS 1900 series handheld

how do i enable a symbol handheld cobra LS 1900 series? is it possible to use the existing cobra LS 1900 series or will i have to buy a upgrade version? i am happy with the existing cobra... can u suggest me a solution? what will be cost effective, buying a new one or reengineering the existing one? the wireless interface i am looking for is ieee 802.11b/g and additionally if i have to go for zigbee what is the effort and engineering that goes in?
