Any suggestions for wireless PROFIBUS communication? I need it for a range of 0.5 - 25 km.

I have seen that Elpro Technologies do a Profibus Wireless I/O device as one of their gateways. 900Mhz radio 20+ Miles distance. You can find them at http://www.elprotech.com where you will find all of their products and information.

 

Try the Profibus Organisation web-site. http://www.profibus.org

You can investigate a large range of Profibus compatible devices there, some with their certificate numbers.
I do remember seeing wireless radio interfaces for Profibus there last year. I think the main restriction was in terms of the baud rate they could sustain.
