Hi Wonderware and Siemens experts,

I have to commuicate with Siemens S5-135U with Wonderware 9.5/10. Can Wonderware pick the PLC tags through the DDE (protocol) link, or do I have to use some OPC server?

I have the same problem, exchanging data between s5 135U en wonderware. It's a project for the near future, so if you get any response please keep me also informed.

We thought about using an ethernet device on the program port of de 135U, and then send the data over to the Wonderware OPC server, Suite Link. However, we just talked about it, we don't know if it's possible.

I have done some research on this project. I have decided to use a current loop converter with the programming port of the PLC and then pick the data through Kepware OPC server.
