Hi,

I have Wonderware Intouch SCADA and Allen Bradley PLC 5/04. Is it possible to communicate Intouch SCADA with PLC 5/04 on DH+.

Dear Sanjay J,

For you to be able to communicate wonderware intouch with PLC-5/04 through DH+, you should have 1784-PXTD or 1784-PCMK installed correctly on your Windows PC.

Then, there are two options for software configuration to use :
- easiest and most reliable way is to use RSLinx Gateway with DH+ driver configured or

- use AB DH+ IO server of Wonderware intouch or ABCIP DAserver

Hope this help

Hi Ikhtiande,

Thanks for your reply. Can you let me know how I can connect DH+ cable to my PC? Is I need to use any converter or can connect directly?

You can use a usb convertor. The part number is 1784-U2DHP the setup is done in the RSLInx software.

Hi,

I have Wonderware Intouch SCADA and Allen Bradley PLC 5/04.
Is it possible to communicate Intouch SCADA with PLC 5/04 using Ethernet.

Thanks Ikhtiander,

My customer wants to shift their communication between PLC 5/40 to wonderware from DH+ to Ethernet. Is this is possible by using Prosoft DH+ to EthernetIP gateway? If this is possible, what changes I need to do at PLC/SCADA side? Shall I need to do measure changes in SCADA side to read tags from PLC?

Thanks in advance!!!

Hi Sjamkar,

You can use Prosoft DH+ to EthernetIP gateway (AN-X2-AB-DHRIO) with wonderware Intouch, but you should use following OPC server that have been tested by Prosoft :

RSLinx Classic using the Ethernet Devices driver
Wonderware using the DASABCIP driver
Kepware using the ControlLogix Ethernet driver

No change needed on PLC code side, what you need to do you only need to change/re-arrange PLC-5 tags addressing, below are more detailed information:

Hi,

Is the PLC 5/04 connected to DH+? If it is, then you can try setting up Intouch SCADA with PLC 5/04 using a third-party device u2dh+ called ANC-120e, from www.automation-networks.com

This device is really easy to set up and work with. Also the price is one of the cheapest.
