I don't know how many of you are familliar with Siemens TX DCS system. I myself don't have much experience and need some advice.

I want to know what is the correct procedure for modifying one YFR function diagram in APF. Is it OK just to do generation and online transfer, or is offline transfer needed?

I have never modified YFRs on APF, but I have on AP. Don't know if they are much different from aspects of generation and transfer...

It depends on your AP-F memory (the red/orange modules in your AP-F CPUs) If they say 'RAM', it's simple, but has to be in this order:
-modify YFR
-generate AP-F
-generate AP
-transfer AP
-transfer AP-F

If your modules say EPROM, the AP-F is not supposed to be changed. The EPROMs have to be reprogrammed and the system has to be re-started.
