Problem in communicating XBT N400 with TWD LCDA24drf via Modbus. Same XBT is working properly with Micro 3710 & 3721 via Unitelway. Plzzzz Help me out. Reply.

 

Most likely problem is Parity setting. Parity setting should be none parity for both devices. Baud rate 19,200 at both devices.

I assume you are using XBTZ9780 dedicated cable.

Make sure the registers youa retrying to display in the XBTN are actually used/configured in Twido.

 

Parity for both device is none & baud rate is 19200. Registers are used in Twido. But till now i'm working with XBTZ978 cable, will try with XBTZ9780.

I know this because i almost go crazy once with a XBTN200 that couldn´t comunicate with a twido. That model comunicates (or used to comunicate), with xbtz978. I say "used to comunicate" because the new models of xbtn200, and all of the rj45 comunicating magelis HMIs, now need to be conected with xbtz9780, which is a newer version of the cable.

I read somewhere in the net (not in schneider web-site) that schneider decided to change the standart pinout for rj45 so for the new models of xbt(which you can tell are new because they have a telemecanique printed in blue in the front) you have to get the new xbtz9780. I couldn´t find the pinout so i had to buy it, but what i know is that with thw xbtz978 you won´t get more than the damned ??????????.

Hope you find my experience useful because for me it was awful (he he he...)

Magelis XBTN200/400 (new version with Telemecanique logo)

Magelis products with Telemecanique logo need XBTN9780 cable or XBTN978 + XTBZ999 adaptator, provided with new Magelis.

Can modify XBTZ978 to XBTZ9780 cable, with pinout changes? Yes!!

If you have and RJ45 and crimping tool you can convert XBTZ978 to XBTZ9780 You only need invest 10 cents!!

I'm also having problens with a XBTGT2110 and TSX Micro3721. Can't get the comms going via UNITEL and I've already tried modifying my cable to XBTZ9780, any suggestions?
