I am trying to set up a Premium PLC on an existing Ethernet network, which is connected to SCADA application via Schneider OPC server.

The existing PLC has XWAY address of 02.02
The host PC has XWAY address of 02.25
What is the signifigance of these addresses?
and What address should I give the new PLC?

Schneider PLCs are using XWAY addressing. It's some sort of universal addressing independant of the physical type of network. (eg TCP/IP, FIPIO, modbus, unitelway)
An XWAY address is formed like this: network.station
Both network and station number should be between 0 and 255. If you want to connect the new premium to the network, you should give it an address with the same network number as the other if you want to communicate with the other premium or the SCADA application. (eg 2.3)
On the host pc you should reconfigure the XIP driver and add the address of the new Premium (both XWAY and IP address)

Tommy
