I'm looking for programming/database examples. We are upgrading from Ultrac(dos) to a windows based HMI/SCADA program. Currently considering:
FIX
LOOKOUT
REALFLEX
INTOUCH
VIJEOLOOK
GENESIS
Modbus is the only protocol Zetron talks. Besides RTU FFSK.
Due to the lack of integraters in our area the operators will build and maintain the system.

Hi Mark,

Here's the info' for National Instruments' Lookout HMI package:

The Eval version comes with a bunch of examples. And I believe the best way to know Lookout is to play with it. You can get the Eval version and general details from here: http://www.ni.com/lookout

For additional examples, go to "devzone" on NI's site (link below) and search for "Lookout." While there, you can also browse the 'Discussion Forum' for Lookout end-users; follow the 'Discussion Forum' link on the page:
http://www.ni.com/devzone/dev_exchange/default.htm

Hope this helps.. and you can email me directly for any specific questions on Lookout.

Do you still feel the same way about PowerHMI?

Were going to a Modbus Zetron 1700 unit (with our 18 pump station / tank RTUs; rf connected) We are trying to find open source "pc based" user configurable programming to replace ULTRAC usage.
