Swift Sensors Releases New POE Standard Bridge 1011February 27, 2020 by Stephanie Leonida
The company has recently released a PoE device, the Standard Bridge 1011.
Swift Sensors, Inc. is a supplier of plug-and-play cloud-based wireless sensor systems for the IIoT. Swift Sensors provide low-cost (one-tenth of the cost of traditional systems), secure, easy-to-deploy, globally-scalable, real-time sensor monitoring systems for a diverse range of businesses.
Although a number of industrial businesses are designed to effectively monitor their systems processes, control engineers are still faced with a vast sensor repository with a continual stream of various data inputs to filter and unpick for process refinement. Concerns can arise regarding, data integrity, security, collection, storage, analysis and usability at scale.

What is the Standard Bridge 1011?
When within range, the Standard Bridge 1011 automatically pairs with all Swift Sensors, and collects the data via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or radiofrequency. This data is then transmitted through the Ethernet using 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption to the Swift Sensors Cloud.
Swift Sensors are used to measure a number of industrial outputs including temperature, humidity, motion, vibration, door movement, switch contact, moisture, electrical current and voltage.
By using the Standard Bridge 1011 and Swift Sensors Cloud, control engineers can gain a collective, bird’s-eye view of multiple business processes and output efficiencies. This can enable targeted analysis and generation of solutions for overall optimization; saving businesses time, money and enabling their growth.
Key Benefits of the Standard Bridge 1011
Some of the unique benefits of using the Standard Bridge 1011 are:
- It can be used across multiple processes, sensor types, and locations, providing a consistent and robust solution, anywhere and anytime.
- Sensors are water-resistant; being able to withstand washdown procedures and chemical exposure, which provides reassurance that incoming data from sensors are protected.
- They can be trusted with a high level of security that can be utilized at a global scale has a mountable design and utilizes a single cable for power and Ethernet (reducing the need for extra hardware).
Easy to Manage Cloud-based System
The interface of the Swift Sensors Cloud Console is highly user-friendly and allows secure access to data from an entire Swift Sensor network, via the Standard Bridge. The console allows users to analyze different sensor data in one place.
Real-time and historical data can be viewed for any inefficiencies and analytical data visualized in custom charts for an in-depth and personalized experience. Another unique feature of the console is that it can be set to notify users of any drastic changes in thresholds of specific measurements to ensure 24/7 monitoring of facilities.

Additionally, the console’s dashboard can be used to create groups of specific measurements, data visuals and critical lists to keep track of high priority sensor data within one or multiple facilities.
The Swift Sensors Console also has expert functionalities to accommodate these needs. Configuration tools are also available to add, remove, block sensors or run sensor diagnostics.
Finally, Swift Sensors provide full API documentation for third-party developers to create their own custom front-end web or mobile app to facilitate and manage Swift Sensors hardware, data, and other systems.
Swift Sensors and the Standard Bridge 1011 can be placed in many different commercial applications ranging from transportation, research development, industrial settings, and data centers.
This device can provide a bridge between raw data collection and processing, making it applicable for most industrial environments.
