I need information on a Seiberco drive model AIM 5000 DSH10k (the large one with side connector). What I need is the pin out of the side connector (input-output).

I don't have any information on the AIM 5000, but I do have some for the AIM 4000. I don't know if the hardware is different on these two models, so I don't know if the following will help you.

TB2 - Dedicated Inputs SIgnals are optically isolated, +5 to +24 vdc, 1.6 mA min. The following is from a table. TB2-1 Software module dependent TB2-2 Software module dependent TB2-3 Run move command TB2-4 Seek home position command TB2-5 Home position input TB2-6 Emergency stop TB2-7 Run sequence command TB2-8 Ext. V+ TB2-9 System reset

The following is from a diagram which doesn't exactly agree with the table. TB2-1 Step TB2-2 Direction TB2-3 /Run Move TB2-4 /Seek Home TB2-5 /Home TB2-6 /EOT TB2-7 /Run Seq TB2-8 Ext. V+ TB2-9 /Reset TB2-10 NC

TB1 - Dedicated Outputs Signals are optically isolated, +5 to +24 vdc, 100 mA max.

TB1-1 Ext. Gnd TB1-2 Busy Bar TB1-3 Fault Bar Tb1-4 Ext. V+

P-5 - Programmable I/O

Pin 1 - common GND 3 - output 16 5 - output 15 7 - output 14 9 - output 13 11 - output 12 13 - output 11 15 - output 10 17 - output 9 19 - + 5vdc 21 - common GND 23 - output 8 25 - output 7 27 - output 6 29 - output 5 31 - output 4 33 - output 3 35 - output 2 37 - output 1 39 - +5 vdc

2 - common GND 4 - input 16 6 - input 15 8 - input 14 10 - input 13 12 - input 12 14 - input 11 16 - input 10 18 - input 9 20 - +5 vdc 22 - common GND 24 - input 8 26 - input 7 28 - input 6 30 - input 5 32 - input 4 34 - input 3 36 - input 2 38 - input 1 40 - + 5vdc

Thanks Michael for the help, but it's seem that
AIM 4000 and 5000 are different.
On the 5000, I have 8 inputs, 8 outputs, 3 special
outputs and 7 special inputs.
The connector is on the right side.
There's CN1 5 pins, that's a serial port
CN2 12 pins
CN3 4 pins
CN4 3 pins
CN5 18 pins
I am assuming that CN2 is for outputs and
CN5 is for inputs but that's all I know.

I have AIM 5000 LX Front Panel Layout. If you want to have it, please let me know so I can scan it for you and email it with an attachment (jpg file)

Do you still have any information on the AIM 5000 series drives?
I am needing a copy of the AIM5000 software and user manual.
