Non-Nuclear Density Meter For Slurry

There is a company called Industrial Tomography Systems (ITS) that just introduced a non-nuclear densitometer.

According to ITS, it is a technology designed around electrical conductivity. The DENS-ITOMETER monitors slurry flow across an entire cross section and provides accurate, real-time data on the density profiles of moving solids in the pipe. Below is a link to the website that describe the product.

Has anybody heard of this company or this product? Does this work?

Has anybody used Rhosonic or Ultimo density meters that care to share the experience with these meters?

It looks as though this cannot be used with abrasive slurries, also can it work with all types of media? Oil, water, etc.?

We are working with the Ultimo Non-Nuclear density meters successfully, I have personally set it up in a 3 inch SS Pipe, and a 32 inch Steel Pipe as well, so I believe they are a game changer. The only trick on them is to do a proper mechanical mounting of the support system, and then voila. They are non-Invasive so you don't have to worry about the slurry abrasion.

We posted some info on our website, http://us.ecnautomation.com/ultimo/

And a video explaining its principle of operation.

Hope this helps

I urge you to look into Red Meters Technology. We offer a system that has proven successful is high percent solids, no obstruction in the pipe, and our meter is not affected by outside noise and vibration.

Non-nuclear-- so, of course, no paperwork, no disposal fees, and all the Red Tape that an RSO would like to get away from.

Our accuracy is well above that of a nuclear source, installation and calibration are plug and plug, and lastly, our meter offers remote access for software updates with stored CSV files as well as Modbust over TCP connection.

If you would like to know more please feel free to contact me at Red Meters and I would be happy to get you in touch with our technical team to answer more of your questions.
