Hi there,

I am trying to communicate with a MkIV Atlas Copco Elektronikon module but have so far been unsuccessful. I believe I have all the correct software and hardware to do this, but cannot work out how to do it.

From my laptop USB port, I have connected a "USB-to-CAN Compact", and from there I have connected to the I/O port on the back of the Elektronikon module. Is this correct? I am new to this type of thing so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi,

Looking at their web site, they have Modbus RTU PROFIBUS and a few others as an option on their controller, I guess it will depend on what interface your controller has. If this is not the protocol you desire then you can use a protocol gateway such as FieldServer.

Thanks,
Richard

I think this might be too late, and you might have found the solution to your problem already. but you're tying to get communication in the wrong port, we can make it work. I am looking for the software that I think you have. please contact me if you still need assistance, as much as I need yours.
