I am using citect software as MMI for PLC system. It is required to add alarm function to a tag which is already used in display. Also how to increase the decimal points in the display for a particular tag. pls help

 

Alarming can be applied at several levels: An alarm object (supported by the MMI software); An alarm filter placed on the driver object (an option on the tag, already defined); An alarm rung programmed into the PLC and integrated as a boolean input to the MMI.

To increase the resolution of your analog signal, you can adjust the engineering units on the RTU input card (multiply the scale x10). Where ever the data reports in the MMI, check the value and adjust(divide by 10). This method is effective when communicating A-B PLC values to an MMI package.

You must create a new alarm in "digital alarms" ou "analog alarms"; and the parameter variable tag is the name of the already used tag. To increase the decimal points you must change the format parameter for example from #.## to #.### (from 2 to 3 decimal places) If you need any more help, please ask
