We are searching a MPI protocol doccumentation in order to communicate with a S7/300 PLC. Anybody knows a site where we can consult? Thank you

Why re-invent the wheel

Siemens has a plug in MPI card both in the PCMCIA and PCI format.
I do not remember the numbers off the top of my head but I believe they are the CP6511 and CP5511 cards, I have both I just do not remember which one is which.

Siemens also has a software package for talking to their PLC’s from a PC it uses DDE
And they have their own pre built controls that respond to events from both directions.

For their CNC product line, which I am most familiar with, they call the software "Advanced HMI Programming Package" I do not know what they call the PLC only version but if you call Johnson City I am sure you can get help there.

dear ,

These protocols are developed by siemens for their plc's only. so it is difficuilt to get details for the same
