Pressure gauge installed near cooling tower

We are facing the problem of visibility through the Pressure Gauge glass installed at the cooling tower area. It is observed that over a period of time the glass get a invisible coating of the some white material layer (we
believe it is due to chlorination vapour present in the surrounding atmosphere).

Can any one suggest some way out so that we need not do the frequent cleaning of the glass?? Is there any suitable glass which can withstand such harsh environment without getting coated with white material which hampers the visibility of the PG

Cover it with saran wrap.

Encase it inside a J-box with a hinged cover if that's not high-tech enough for you. A metal box will eventually rust out due to the chlorine, though, starting with the hinges.

Why not replacing the pressure gauge with an electronic pressure transducer. The indicator, eg. a simple LCD-display could then be installed either next to the transducer, or remotely in some office (or both...)

If you need more info's feel free to contact me.

You could try a plastic box with purge air. make sure the air is dry or you will have condensation problems .
hope this helps.

The problem is acid fluoridric can atck the glass, minimaze yuor problema with cristal grass or you need eliminate the "corrosion" take out the fluor in the water contamination.
