Matrikon OPC explorer error message: Class not registered
Class not registered

When I use Matrikon OPC explorer connect with remote OPC server, I get the below error:

COM/OPC error 0x80040154 on CoCreateInstanceEx()
Error string: Class not registered

Additional: Could not connect to remote server 'Citect.OPC.1' on machine '\\192.168.0.149'

Then I install the opc server on the client machine, but it still have such problem.

if anybody has the same experience or happen to know the right way to configure citect as OPC server.. please show me. thanks.

Check both COM/DCOM setting and firewall. Maybe you need to add new exception.
