Industrial Automation to the Software sector
What are the best courses for changing my career from industrial automation (DCS, PLC, SCADA, Instrumentation/Measurement) to the software sector?

I am trying to get more education in the software sector. I have an Associates in EET concentrated in Industrial Automation, but when trying to transfer the credits I have into a bachelors, they'll only take 12 out of the 127 that I have. Going back for my bachelors is out of the question. I primarily currently work remotely so cruising along with online classes is ideal. I've been researching but coming up with NADA, so hopefully some can help with some ideas to further and better my career.
