could you please tell me if SIL is a requirement in boiler automation. Is SIL required for combustion control or for flame safety? How do we make decisions for Boiler control on if the controller needs to be SIL certified or not does NFPA require it and is it required for the combustion/boiler control section of it or for flame safety/burner management?
