@alex987,

You realize this is an automation and controls forum.

My personal definition of 'underpinning' means securing equipment to a floor or foundation to prevent movement which could cause physical damage, personnel injury or worse.

You have posted your statements about underpinning to the General Communications Chat area of this automation/controls forum. From the header of the General Communications Chat area:

General Communications Chat
DISCUSSION FORUM FOR ANYTHING COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT RELATED.

That description of the General Communications Chat area states that it is for anything communication systems and equipment related. That refers to communications systems and equipment for control/automation systems.

What kind of communication systems and equipment are you specifically referring to?

And, what kind of conversation are you trying to initiate with your post? Do you seek help or guidance with securing equipment and devices?

This website/forum deals mostly with control systems and automation equipment, methods and systems--not so much with structural attachment of equipment to foundations or walls to mitigate risks to occupants and construction workers. There are certainly websites/forums more focused on structural integrity and safety than this one.

I am a researcher, and I share this information.
